Spring Creek HC field trial results!!

Congrats to Twin River Kennels for their win with Vanilla Ice! This is Ice's 1st win with the VOBA. Also to all those that placed as well!! We had an impressive 232 dogs at the hunt on Saturday which was a record for a fall hunt and our 2nd best turnout to date..AWESOME! I hope that I made it around to everyone who was new to our hunts and our Assoc to welcomed them, if I didn't I will do so at the next hunt. The VOBA would like to thanks Spring Creek HC for putting on another fine hunt and the hustling that the judges did to get the scores. It's difficult this time of year with all the leaves and greenery to get scores like we do at our winter hunts, but we had the highest scores at this hunt than any other fall hunt so great running by the dogs!! Pics of the trial will be up soon. Our hunts will pick back up again on January 16th at Cato Hill Hunt Club and we are probably going to have an outstanding turnout and hope everyone can make it!! Good running to all, Phillip

Great Hunt!
Wanted to thank everyone at Spring Creek Hunt club for putting on another great hunt!!!!! Hey Phil I was going to say great job on ICE's win but you already congratulated yourself, LOL (just kidding)

Just messing congrats to Steve and Phil!

hey phill dog 22 cowboy is cam carpinelli

PICS ARE UP!!!
10-4 fixed it, also pictures of the hunt have been posted.

We always cast in the same place all together and at the same time. If you got lost and weren't at the cast site you wouldn't hear the club yell out to go ahead and turn the dogs loose. I hate that happened. Also keep in mind outside hunts this time of the year are tuff on scoring everything is so green it makes harder on the judges to get scores and to score all the dogs running. I have been coming to these hunts for the last several years. It's a great group of guys and lots of fun! Give it another chance. Don't base you decision on one hunt. And don't get discouraged. It takes a great dog to win a hunt or place high but it also takes some luck. And ask anyone that has been doing it awhile your dogs can be unlucky and you can have a bad day.

Yeah I would like to have a training season for our deer dogs and I would bet so do all the deer hunters with dogs out there feel the same. Would be nice if we could get a month or to at least to get our dogs in shape. I, along with a bunch of my running buddies exercise at the fox pens during the off season to keep them in shape but nothing is like on the OUTSIDE running.

more info soon???
I've contacted the VAHDA on this issue hopefully they will give me some more info and help get our voices heard I'll post it in my blog and leave a message here when they get back with me
